Timeline 0-120 months (120 months=10 years): - 0-3 months: Owlet; At birth their eyes are shut, but they open about three days after birth. Keep in mind that they're all down and cannot fly. Doesn't stop them from developing their muscle though. Two months in though, most start losing their downy tufts and start growing juvenile feathers. At three months most have started branching and some have tried flying. - 4-7 months: Juvenile; Some owls by now have left their parents' care to go out into the world. They can fly, not as well as the adults, due to their lack of experience and due to the fact that their juvenile feathers are poorer quality and softer. Around the seventh month is when juvenile feathers are being replaced by flight feathers. - 8-84 months: Adult - 85+ months: Elder - All owls die when they reach 120 months - Thanks to gahooliandecree.proboards.com for the ages of the owls!
