Name: Collyn
Age in moons: 17
Gender: Male
Species: Barn Owl
Color: Black
Kingdom: Southern
Group: Guardians
History: Collyn has a rather depressing past. A forest fire burned throughout his home when he was 4 moons old, he managed to escape, with one of his mother’s eggs. He had barely started branching, but he did have some experience at flying. He snuck his brother-or maybe sister-into a barn owl family’s tree. He left his sibling to live a quiet and peaceful life. After weeks of practice, he became an amazing flier. He was quick, hard to see, and quiet-the perfect slipgizzle. He worked as one for a while then told the King of Ga'Hoole about everything. There is an upcoming war and he was appointed King right before. (just to cut things short)
Strengths: Collyn isn’t big or strong, but quick and small. He has taught himself hunting, fighting, silence, and patience. Those are the spots he is powerful in. His silent, quick, and deadly battle moves have been proven successful. Collyn’s hunting is probably as good as anyone’s. His silent and quick reactions find him an easy meal. Patience was hard to learn, but you have to learn it someday and it’s a large part of being a slipgizzle. Collyn’s hunting skill is average-he doesn’t try that hard. Overall, he is best in fighting, quietness, and patience. Over the year or so of being king, he has gotten really good at speeches and conversation.
Weaknesses: Collyn lacks strength, but being so quick, it’s usually not a problem. He also is a troubled reader. Yes, he hasn’t had the best education in reading though he has started to get better since being appointed king. Collyn taught himself in hunting, flying, patience, and fighting-that’s it.
Personality: Calm, Patient, Kind, Valiant, Quick-Minded
In Character (IC) post: Collyn flapped his large black wings, the air soared through every one of his feathers, cooling his dark, feathered body. The King twisted and turned in the wind, passing over the bleak territories. A storm was coming, everything was misted down with condensation from the clouds and the sky didn't look too welcoming. The King turned back, to be swept up in a storm when he was this tired wasn't a good idea.
