"Let's go." Cleef said and took off in a North western course, heading for The Forest Kingdom of Ambala and ultimately, the Saint Aegolius Academy For Orphaned Owls.
Cleef lighted in a tree somewhere in the middle of Ambala. He looked in the direction he had just flown and saw that Collyn wasn't to far behind. The sun was beginning to creep up over the horizon. We're going to have to stay the day here in Ambala. thought Cleef as he began to look around for a roomy hollow they could stay in. He looked to where his limb connected to the tree and saw a hollow gaping open right there beside him "Well that's convenient." Cleef thought aloud. He walked up to the hollow and peeked in, their seemed to be no one living here. Cleef took off his battle mask and claws and set them in the hollow, he then walked out on the branch once more, waiting for Collyn to alight down on the branch.

Collyn took off after Cleef.
Collyn flew through Ambala after Cleef. Before Cleef stopped at a hollow, Collyn knew they couldn't go into St. Auggies in broad daylight. He landed on a branch near Cleef right after the burrowing owl took off his armor. Collyn sighed. "You have the right idea, we need to stay here and wait for evening..."

Cleef gave off a slight churr "Yes you're majesty, I know what I'm doing. The only time I visit St. Aggies in broad daylight is either if I'm passing by, coming to heal one of their sick or injured, or if I'm alone and trying to rescue an owl. Since we are a party of two, like you said earlier, we will have to wait till evening to move again so by the time we arrive there, they will have most of the moonblinked owls sleeping and just have a few of the non-blinked guards up. Of course that was the plan right?" Cleef looked around the forest.........his stomach rumbled "Oh.....anyways, are you hungry?"

Collyn smiled slightly as he took off his mask and claws. "As a matter of fact I am..." He started. The barn owl laid his armor next to Cleef's. "You have the right idea my friend. We should hunt a bit." Collyn flew off into Ambala. "Hunt lightly! Don't want to go to St. Aggies with a heavy stomach!" He churred. Then he was gone into the forest.

Cleef sighed relief, he would of caught the king some food if he had wanted him to but Collyn seemed to want to hunt his own. Leaving Cleef a little comfort to go to his scavenging ways, he knew where some berries where in the forest and also new a good route where some of the other predators of Ambala would either leave or lose their kill. Cleef looked to where Collyn had flown, he was no where in sight, Cleef was about to fly off in the other direction toward the route and berries when he suddenly stopped with his wings spread for take off. "Oh no!" he said as he realized the time of day and where they where. Cleef, untucked his crow feather from his back plumage, turned around, and took off the way Collyn had flown. Although Collyn had black feathers those birds whould still know whether he had a crow feather or not. Cleef flew as fast as he could in what he thought was Collyn's direction yelling "COLLYN! THE CROWS!" (OCC: I see that you have under you're items a 1 crow feather, but Cleef doesn't know because he hasn't been told nor has he seen it. Collyn's feathers are black you know .)

(True! Good thinking! ) Collyn whipped his head around when he heard Cleef's voice. "Cleef! You about scared the feathers off my body!" Collyn started then realized what he said was true... "Thanks for telling me though, I hadn't thought about it much. My feathers do blend in!" He looked over at Cleef once he reached his side. "Lets just stay very close together when we hunt, within hearing distance." He started. "I'll call you if I need help." He smiled.

Cleef sighed with relief that he had caught the King before any crows had decided to mob him. "I probably could get you a feather if you like, since you take strolls and all around the kingdoms it may help you." Cleef smiled back after saying this then scanned the forest for food. (Thanks, I was about to go to the berries and that and have a separate area roleplay for a few posts, but then decided that this way would be a little more realistic and maybe even interesting.)

Collyn chuckled. "Its not that obvious is it?" Collyn gripped the feather in his talons and revealed it's glossy black surface. "That's the negative thing about it." He said in a sigh.

"Oh." exclaimed Cleef "I didn't see it. It is possible though that the crows might be able to, but until you're able to talk to one in peace I'd try to keep it real obvious that it's their, either by gripping it in talon, making it stick straight up, or by some way of your own."
Cleef scanned the forest floor again and this time spotted a, rather old and large, rat. "Well that guy looks to be about ready to go anyway." stated Cleef "Wait up here."
Cleef broke off from Collyn's side and, slowly, descended to where the rat lay. Cleef was about to make a killing blow when the rat suddenly turned and snapped at Cleef, this startled Cleef and caused him to slit the rats throat. It made a mess and the poor thing made so loud a cry that every prey-like creature would run to cover within a large radius, but Cleef was able to end it's misery as quick as it was able to let out the scream. Cleef then picked up the body and flew back to Collyn. "One reason why I don't enjoy hunting so much." stated Cleef flatly. "Well, hopefully this will be enough for the both of us, but if you'd like we can search for more. You lead the way, I'll follow you which ever way you go whether it be back to the hollow or to search for some more food."

Collyn dipped his head. "This will do, I am not big on eating when it comes to missions..." He started. "We can eat when we get back at the tree." Collyn glanced at Cleef. "That is if you would like to visit for a meal."
Collyn flew back to the hollow after Cleef's reply.

"I don't mind a visiting while eating." answered Cleef.
Cleef landed on the branch right after Collyn and entered the hollow with him. Cleef sat the rat down, halved it, and handed Collyn his piece. Cleef then began eating, he was rather hungry since he had only eaten before he had visited St. Aggies and saved that owlet, it had been a while ago since he'd last eaten. He swallowed and said "Run through the plan for me again, just to make sure I got it all." He then began eating again while listening for Collyn to start.

Collyn thankfully took half of the rat. "We sneak in at moonhigh," The King started drawing a detailed map of the canyons. He finished the outline of St. Aggies from what he new of the place. He lifted his talon from the bark he carved the map in. "Do you think you can add anything that might be new?" He remarked. The map just needed a few more touches of an owl that visited the place more recently. "Any new entrances?" He started. "I labeled the places but they might have moved around..."

"You've got a lot of it down." Said Cleef "They haven't moved anything around for all I know. But, they do still have a few bats on their side. We'll have to watch out for them because they do sometimes join the guards in their duty just as an extra garrison. Also it's been rumored that they have found another vain of flecks. I haven't be able to conform this but be warry. Also note I may break off to cause distraction if needed. For all I know, St. Aggies doesn't know that I'm the one rescuing the owlets. For all they know I just visit them to heal and such." Cleef appeared to think a moment "I think that's all." declared Cleef "If anything else comes up before we get there I'll let you know." Cleef finished his meal "I'm going to get some shut eye and rest up." Cleef walked over by his battle mask and claws and went into the burrowing owl sleep position. "Good light, Collyn" Cleef said, then shut his eyes and went to sleep.

Collyn nodded. "Okay, good night." He spoke quietly before moving over to his own little area. He smoothed his feathers and shut his eyes, though sleep came later than usual.
Collyn awoke to find it dark outside already. He quickly arose Cleef from his sleep. "Cleef, get up! We're late!" He said in an agitated growl. "I cannot believe I didn't keep watch." Collyn walked over to his battle claws and mask then fitted them on. The metal shone in the night, it was the only thing that told the King from the night. His feathers were too dark to see. "Once his armor was on, he turned to Cleef. "You well rested? Its time to go slipgizzle..." He started. The black barn owl slightly missed the harder life of slipgizzling, no one was your friend or enemy if you were a slipgizzle-at least he had no friends or enemies when he was one. Collyn shook his head to rid himself of the past memories and feelings.

Cleef awoke quickly realizing the urgency in the king's voice. "Ohh.......well at least we should be able to make it sometime during tonight. Though there's no promise at what time we'll make it." Cleef said while fastening his silver battle claws to his talons and putting his mask on his head." Cleef hopped outside after Collyn and looked at him "Suppose you need a little exsitement now and then." Cleef churred as he took off. At least the wind was blowing the way they needed it to.
