The Black Glass Desert is a vast and hot climate. It consists of the black coals and ashes from the volcanoes. It drains light from all around, pitch black is all that you see when you fly or walk across the terrain.

A large, long, and very dark tunnel. It leads you to a small cave located really deep within the tunnels. If you drink the water from the large puddle located in the center of the cave, you turn into a vyrrwolf each full moon.

A forest were tall, thin trees with green needles and cones grow. It stays colder here longer-due to how high north it is-so the trees keep there frost longer. Sometimes the trees thin for great distances, and the ground is covered in lichen, a popular food for caribou.

Crooked Back Ridge is just a row of ridges running north to south. They are south of the MacHeath's and west of the MacDuncan's. The Pit lies right above this ridge.

This is the den of the Sark, hence the title. The Sark is known as a healer, wolves from all around travel to her den to possibly forget something horrible, or other things dealing with medicine and potions.

The Pit is a deep stone canyon within the MacHeath territory. This is often where unobiedent pups are sent. It is also home to a wolf called Old Cags, an old MacHeath wolf with the foaming-mouth diesese, who, strangly enough, never died from it.

The Northern King's and Queen's palace. Filled with many ice tunnels and is located in the Hrath'ghar Glacier.

A place where the King and Queen of the North live. Within the glacier is the Issen'hrath Palace were the King and Queen stay along with the rest of the royal residents. The Hrath'ghar Palace is made up of many ice tunnels that travel deep into the Glacier.

Hence its name, the Pirates' Lair is home to the owl pirates of the Northern Kingdoms. It is south of the Lagoon of Moss and east from the Hrath'gar Mountains.

The Ice Narrows is a strait that signals the start of the Northern Kingdoms.

This consists of the Glauxian Sisters' Retreat. The Glauxian Sisters' Retreat is where female owls come to devote themselves to Glaux. They live in a large cave with many tunnels and focus on medicine, reading, writing, and other non-violent hobbies.

The Ice Dagger is a giant mass of sea ice made by the strong winds and intense cold of the Northern Kingdoms. Owls come here to cut specially crafted ice weapons such as ice daggers, ice splinters, and swords.

There are many owls here, old warriors, and new ones come to train and learn how to handle an Ice Weapon. Three battle divisions train here, the Frost Beaks, the Gluaxspeed.

The Ice Talons is made up off three small icy peninsulas that jut out into the water making them look like talons. Not very many animals live in the Ice Talons, but occasionally puffins and gulls roost here.

The Firth of Fangs is east of the Pirates' Lair and south of the Lagoon of Moss. It is full of spiky ice and also has some trees.

The Glauxian Brothers' Retreat is where male owls come to devote themselves to Glaux. They live in a large circle of white fir trees with many hollows for different uses including medicine, reading, writing, and more. It is one of the rare places in the Northern Kingdoms where there are many trees.

Stormfast Island is located in the western section of the Everwinter Sea. There are strong winds, currents, and many storms. The winds here erode away at the ice an rock creating tall ice spires and deep caves.

The Tridents are three small islands in the middle of the Keil Bay. They are freezing, icy, and dark with few to no trees.

This is the home of the Kielian Snakes. This region covers the southern most island of the Tridents and also the Stormfast Island.

This body of water starts where the Tridents and the Stormfast Island do. It covers the far west side of the Northern Kingdoms.

One wrong move and you get swept away, never to be seen again, your remains tumultously whirling thorught the air in vicious twisters called Tumblebones. Very few can navigate through...Can you?

Observing your nearest surroundings, you would find strings anchored to various rocks and gnarled trunks of trees growing from odd angles from the outcropping, but most noticeable of all would be a blue bird hammering a large bronze disc, sending out a resounding gong in welcome.

The Sea of Olong Grass literally means 'The Sea of Sapphire Grass.' The field is named for its unique qualities: grass that is a royal blue color and seems to be made of a precious stone, as well as the way the field seems to ripple with currents. Incense Trees also grow among the grass.

The "royalty" here is now fake, dragon owls are now specially chosen to up hold these false positions. They do not really have any power, but they have the illusion of power and importance. The dragon owls are at the palace as part of their Phonqua, a punishment to make up for their wrongdoings in the past. They are really afraid of breaking Phonqua, and are quite content with their lives. To most owls, it seems frivolous and useless, but the dragon owls enjoy the lavishness and grandeur. This is were they live out their lives.

The Mountain of Time, or the Hollow Mountain as it is sometimes called because of its Jouzhen name "The Hulong Mountain", hulong meaning either "hollow" or "time", is the highest mountain. Here, in this place high, high up in the tallest mountain of Jouzhenkyn is where owls who desire a simpler way of living and deep contemplation retreat.

The Owls of the Owlery are called Pikyus. They come here to pray, to meditate, to contemplate, to learn and discover. Owls here are very orderly and believe strongly in the way of noble gentleness. They prefer a life of socialization to a life of solitude and gathers to thank the Kyres of Glaux. This place it located in the Mountain of Time.

Because of its location directly under the Northern Kingdoms and neighboring the Ice Narrows, this peninsula is a cold and desolate place. The harsh living conditions brings the beginning of the North's extreme weather power.

The Island of Ga'Hoole shelters the great Ga'Hoole Tree. The tree is an extremely huge tree that consists of many hollows of all sizes for all needs. Its branches are long and thick, and its trunk is enormously wide. The Great Ga'Hoole Tree is a beautiful and ancient tree and serves as a great home to the noble owls who live within its hollows.

In this misterious and haunted place, scrooms (spirits of the dead) come to dwell when something in life is preventing them from passing from Earth into Glaumora.

The Shadow Forest is a dusky and sinister-looking place. It is thick with brambles and branches, so much that it makes it hard for sunlight, moonlight, or any kind of light, to get through. Here crow mobbings are common.

Silverveil is a lush and fruitful forest with plenty of kinds of plants, herbs and animals. It is especially known and loved for its thick bright green trees and leaves. Its is also where the popular Rabbit's ear moss, a type of moss that is said to be the most soft and valuable, grows.

A barren and desolate land, hence the name. It is made up of rocky earth full of cracks, crevasses, and caves. There isn't much prey here except some cave rats, mice, and the occasional vole.

The Beaks is given its name for its tall, beak-like rock spires. With sparse vegetation, this is not a place for tree dwellers, but is a perfect habitat for Burrowing Owls. Common prey includes snakes, mice, toads, and other grounded animals.

The Forest Kingdom of Tyto is a large forest almost completely made up of fir trees. As its name suggests, most of the owls you will find here are Tytos, like: Barn Owls, Grass Owls, Masked Owls, Bay Owls, and Sooty Owls.

The Forest of Ambala is wide with a large variety of trees, prey, and residents. It is famed for its beautiful landscape.

The Grog Tree is where owls, and sometimes other birds, from all over mingle and discuss things going on in the Kingdoms. Grog tree's are the best place to hear the most recent news and rumors. One can also enjoy bingle juice, milkberry tea, milkberry wine, and other drinks the tree-tender and snakes serve, and be entertained by the colorfully decorated gadfeathers' beautiful singing.
